Resource Sector is Key for Renewable Energy’s Future – Australia’s QRC

The resource sector is at the centre of renewable energy development, the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) said as part of its new campaign to highlight the key role the resource sector plays.

QRC chief executive Michael Roche stressed that the resource sector is responsible for providing the renewable energy with the needed commodities to make the green technology, such as solar panels.

“Apart from creating jobs and producing income for governments to provide essential services, our sector is at the front line of generating alternative energy and materials and, therefore, providing solutions for a sustainable lifestyle, now and into the future,” Roche said. “Every part of a solar panel is manufactured from mined metals and materials.”
