Wiigwaasaatig Energy Inc, a subsidiary of AurCrest Gold, has signed a Letter of Intent with Mobismart Mobile Off-Grid Power and Storage for the purposes of acquiring two mobile renewable energy generation units.
The units will be deployed as part of a partnership with the Cat Lake First Nation and Lac Seul First Nation and will be used to reduce their reliance on grid-sourced electrical energy. Wiigwaasaatig, an Aboriginally-driven corporation, hopes to foster an environment of socioeconomic growth and wealth generation through the use of these units, potentially deploying them to remote mineral exploration and development sites in partnership with local First Nations.
