247Solar To Market Its CSP Solar Technology Through ROST International

247Solar is seeking to market its concentrated solar power (CSP) technology to the worldwide mining industry through ROST International Trading Limited.

247Solar’s modular, scalable, CSP plants offer completely reliable, round-the-clock, and clean power independent of whether the sun is shining.

These plants are ideal for mining operations in remote locations with erratic grid power. They operate without expensive batteries by storing solar energy as heat (thermal) energy instead of electrical energy. As a result, the 247Solar solutions offer the lowest-cost and most reliable solar power 24 hours a day.

The CSP plants can be installed close to the mines, even on uneven ground. Due to their proximity, they can also be used to compensate for voltage drops in grid supply at peak demands.

The plants are modular and use ready-made components for quick installation and commissioning. The first 400kW plant can be up and ready to supply power in about 6-8 months from the order confirmation, with 10MW possible in just 12-15 months.

Additionally, 247Solar plants allow companies to reduce their carbon footprint. These plants require very low maintenance and no water.

MIT spinoff Wilson Solarpower Corp invented the 247Solar Plant. Solar industry veteran Bruce Anderson has commercialized the technology under the aegis of the 2015-founded 247Solar, Inc.
