Gold Producer SSR Mining Publishes Annual Sustainability Report

SSR Mining Inc., a leading gold company with four producing operations located in the USA, Türkiye, Canada, and Argentina, has released its annual Sustainability Report highlighting the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The report covers the achievements made in 2022 and outlines the commitments made for 2023.

The company’s CEO, Rod Antal, stated that the report demonstrates their commitment to transparency, accountability, and generating value for their stakeholders while staying true to ESG principles.

The report focuses on various areas, including safety performance, global water strategy, net-zero commitment, and advancing maturity of the Integrated Management System (IMS). At every phase of the mine life cycle, SSR Mining is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of its employees and business partners.

It has developed a global water strategy to help manage water as a vital resource for operations and communities, and it plans to implement water management plans at each of its assets in 2023.

The company aims to achieve net-zero operational greenhouse emissions by 2050 and plans to refine the identified options for short-term targets in 2023. Additionally, SSR Mining aims to embed the IMS into all areas of operation throughout the company.

SSR Mining’s four operating assets combined have produced over 700,000 gold-equivalent ounces annually for the last three years.
