Coeur Mining has published its 2022 ESG Report, highlighting its efforts to improve environmental, social, and governance practices and responsible mining operations.
Among the report’s highlights are a focus on total worker health and safety, improvements in climate resilience and reporting, and a formal Indigenous Peoples Policy.
On its climate commitments, in 2022, Coeur achieved an 8.5% reduction in GHG emissions compared to the base year.
The company took additional steps to enhance its climate resilience and reporting by conducting site-specific scenario analyses, energy and emissions diagnostics, and including estimated scope 3 emissions for the first time.
These efforts have put the company on track to meet its goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions net intensity by 35% by the end of 2024.
The company said it was committed to advancing ESG principles and maximizing long-term stakeholder value while becoming a premier, growing provider of precious and critical metals.
