In Issue 2 and Issue 8 of Energy and Mines Magazine we provided details of 17 recently announced renewables in mining projects. In this issue, we list another 11 projects involving the use of renewables in mining. Miners are increasingly shifting from fossil fuels to renewables, attracted by falling costs, proven reliability and an increasing focus on carbon and environmental risk. Renewables at the forefront
In major news for the renewables in mining space, juwi and SIEMENS last week announced a strategic partnership on microgrids for mines. juwi has been involved in the landmark Agnew and Degrussa projects in Australia.
