Dave Manning has joined juwi as Global Head of Hybrid to further expand worldwide uptake of renewables for mining. The Australian manager has 25 years of international experience in power solutions for mines and remote energy consumers. From Perth, the centre of the mining industry in Western Australia, and in close proximity to African mining, he will be pursuing projects that will combine solar, wind and batteries with thermal power stations or the grid. Dave took up his new responsibilities on April 23rd and reports to Amiram Roth-Deblon, Head of Global Business Initiatives. “Dave Manning is a recognized expert in the industry and will enable more mining companies and power producers to benefit from juwi’s unique hybrid solutions,” says Amiram Roth-Deblon.
Dave Manning’s first contacts with juwi were as Managing Director of a leading IPP for power supply to mines. He was involved in the DeGrussa Sandfire project as the thermal power station owner from initial contract negotiation, all the way through to project completion. He has worked several years in the USA and in management positions in Australia and brings a wealth of remote power generation solutions experience to juwi’s customers.
